St John’s Nursery Playgroup has been meeting at St John’s Methodist Church Hall since the 1960’s, offering high quality education and care for nearly 50 years. In autumn 2006 we attained the prestigious Hertfordshire Quality Standard Award, depicted by the balloon in the logo. This award recognises the quality of care and high standards we provide throughout the setting. We are currently embarking on re-accreditation.

We work in close partnership with our sister playgroup which, since September 2008, has been based at Oakmere School (originally at Sunny Bank School) enabling us to share resources and planning as well as banking our expertise/experience. Find out more about [ St John's Oakmere here ].

Our Vision

Through our vision to be recognised as providing an outstanding service to the community it serves, St John's Nursery Playgroup will, in partnership with parents and carers, enable all children to start their unique journeys as confident, independent and lifelong learners.
